Islamic Art

Back in 2006, I had the opportunity to participate in three series of workshops organised by British council Nigeria, British high commission and facilitated by the Princess School of Traditional Arts London. The first workshop was titled " Understanding the Visual Islamic Art of Northern
Nigeria" nineteen participants were involved from different crafts. And that's were I was opportune to met HRH the Prince of Wales in person during an exhibition after the first workshop.

The second workshop was titled "Transferring Geometric Designs to the Craft of Northern Nigeria" while the third was titled "Thinking Creating and Promoting, Out of the box". Those workshops opened my eyes and mind about Islamic Art and geometry, which still influence my works to date.
